Following a successful underwriting career with RSA where he was latterly responsible for third party underwriting and customer insight programmes, Andrew has consulted on a variety of projects  both independently and for ICA  for such companies as QBE, JLT, Lockton, Legal & General. COBRA and Eversheds, in addition to providing advice on the establishment of the Managing General Agencies Association.

He has also worked with a number of start- up and experienced MGA’s advising on underwriting, portfolio management and strategy. Andrew worked with Lockton to build their own in-house MGA – Mapledown Underwriting  - where he joined the board as Director and chaired the Underwriting Committee before returning to a consultancy role with ICA.

Andrew is married with two children.  As Andrew hails from Newcastle – the long suffering Diane and the children enjoy family breaks in the wilds of England whenever possible – apparently the wetter the better!  Andrew is also a keen football fan (Newcastle obviously) and we encourage him to keep his shirt on when watching games in London in the winter…
